The second annual Winter Royale was a huge success with many industry members coming out to join us at the Winspear Centre for a formal dinner and casino.
Bea Bohm-Meyer from the Winnifred Stewart Association was able to share with us their plans for the Gentle Care Centre of Excellence that will provide a home for individuals with development delays who are also experiencing dementia, Alzheimers or complex medical issues. The centre will be able to accomodate 45 individuals, the first of it's kind in Western Canada. The approximate cost of this project is $10 million dollars. Thanks to the Winter Royale, and the support of our guests, we were able to raise over $6000 for the Gentle Care Centre of Excellence.
The casino was a hit with all of our guests, but most so with Elisabeth Okrainec who won the $5000 travel gift certificate.
