The City of Edmonton's Imagine Jasper Avenue project is meant to re-imagine the street and strives to balance the needs of the community, commuters, businesses and visitors. NAIOP Edmonton has written a letter to Council, backed by several prominent members, suggesting ways to alleviate risks, through better consultation, an extended pilot project, and consideration of low cost/low impact options (like better road and sidewalk maintenance, and more landscaping). These will encourage greater walkability of Jasper Avenue and future development.
