The best part of my job is helping dynamic businesses reach new heights. I’m a partner in Grant Thornton’s audit and business advisory group, and I lead the Construction and Real Estate team in Northern Alberta. I’m also the Practice Support Director for the Western Canadian offices of Grant Thornton.

During my 30 year career, I’ve focused on financial reporting, audit methodology and advisory in all aspects of real estate development, construction and operations for public and private companies, including large organizations such as Imperial Equities Inc., West Edmonton Mall Property Inc., and the Triple Five Group of Companies.

I’ve grown my expertise in Canadian GAAP, IFRS and other auditing, disclosure and reporting issues so that I can provide my clients with accurate, timely and forward-looking advice. I’m also able to help my clients develop business strategy and achieve superior returns on investment by applying benchmarks and ideas from my experience with similar companies.

As someone who has always believed in giving my best to my clients and my profession, I was honoured to be an inaugural recipient of the Grant Thornton Professional Excellence Award in 2010. I’ve been an active member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants, and a guest lecturer with the University of Alberta and the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. Most recently, I served as the 2017 president of Edmonton CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women).

In the local community I serve on various subcommittees of the Catholic Archdiocese of Edmonton, and I support Catholic Social Services, the Heart & Stroke Foundation and the Northern Alberta Brain Injury Foundation. I’m also involved in the campaign cabinet for the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital Foundation.
